Flexible Annuities

Flexible annuities, as the name implies, allows more flexibility regarding the levels of income taken by you.

They still contain an investment element, but the type and options vary according to your choices and criteria. In very simple terms, you may choose between;

• Investing part of your pension fund in rolling 5 year plans, which can be purchased up to the age of 85.
• Investing your whole pension fund in a 10-year plan where you decide the rate of pay and can take lump sums.
• Investing your whole pension fund within ongoing and individual investment accounts, which you can choose, with a constant pay-rate and possibility of bonuses.

Each of the options above has specific rules and guidelines, separate tax consequences and allowances - and all have different features and benefits.
